Our second stop was at Hoima, where we worked with Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese.

  • Pray for Bishop Nathan and his team, especially Joshua, in charge of education in about 180 diocesan schools, who organised our visit and with whom we stayed.
  • Pray for Rev. Captain Eric Twine of the Church Army, who leads All Saints Church, the main town church in Hoima and with whom we worked for most of our visit. Pray especially for the church’s ministry to:

Those in special need. Each Thursday they pray and fast, taking a collection for those who need food and clothes. While we were there, a camp for those displaced through the troubles with the Lord’s Resistance Army was burnt down, probably by the Government Army. The church members, poor as they are, collected clothes and took them into the camp. (J4 22 or 23) Their giving left us humbled and challenged.
