BIBLE says

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)

Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity. (JBP)

Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. (NLT)

Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Meditation – TV version of Psalm 23
The TV is my shepherd, I shall want.
It makes me lie down on the sofa.
It leads me away from the Scriptures.
It destroys my soul.
It leads me in the path of sex and violence, for the sponsor’s sake.
Yea, though I walk in the shadow of my Christian responsibilities, there will be no interruption, for the TV is with me.
Its cable and remote, they control me.
It prepares a commercial before me in the presence of worldliness.
It anoints my head with humanism.
My coveting runs over
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house watching TV forever.
