  • Prayer Time
  • Give thanks for the life of Paul Godfrey whose faith we honour this weekend. Pray for his family and friends – his loss still leaves a gap for many of us.
  • Give thanks for the ministry of Jo Smith and pray for her as she prepares to move to St Peters, Halliwell, Bolton, to be their new Youth Minister.
  • Pray for Jo as she helps lead a ‘Youth for Christ’ camp at Sizewell this week; for good conversation, fun, and sufficient sleep for all involved!
  • Pray for Naomi Betteley, James Bingham, Hugo Holford, Chloe Mnatzaganian, Bryony Penman, Joe Sykes and Sarah Webster and their leaders Sidney and Judy Miller, James Webster and Clare Bissell, going to Uganda. Pray for their personal safety and good health and also for their spiritual growth during this exciting and challenging time together.
  • Pray for Beth Day as she travels to Tajikstan on Monday. She will be working with the local church there for two weeks. Pray also for Lucy Just in Pisco, Peru.
  • Pray for our prayer team, that they would be increasingly led by the Holy Spirit as they pray for all of us.
  • Pray for a godly orthodox man to be chosen as our next Diocesan Bishop.
  • Pray for our young people who are attending Christian camps over the summer, that they may come to a greater understanding of Jesus Christ and what he has done for them
  • Pray for the Hope 08 RE:ACT Fun Day today, that it would be useful for the extension of God’s Kingdom.
  • Pray for those in debt or struggling with finances at this time.
  • Pray for the countries of the world, especially America, India and China, to persist in seeking a fair and amicable way forward following the world trade agreement talks falling apart last week.
  • Pray for peace and refreshment for all on holiday but especially for those with children, that all may be sensitive to each others’ needs at this time.
  • Give thanks for the young families attached to the church and pray for more young families to join us, and for more young people in their 20s.
  • Pray for Stanley and Dorothy Pullinger this week as Stanley recovers from his heart operation and continues to see Dorothy in hospital. Pray for God to give Dorothy peace and relieve her anxiety.
  • Pray for God’s healing touch and gracious encouragement on Jo Addis, Bill Burns (Julie Smith’s father), Julian Cottenden (Alan’s brother), Tim Day (Jon’s brother), Sue Fogg, Heather Harris (Mary Fenske’s mother), Lucas de Jong (Peter Kay’s nephew), Sheila Litchfield, Tim Pilbeam, Gary Townsend, Sarah Webb and others known to you who have been unwell for some time.
