Our Missionaries

Christ Church supports a number of missionaries including:

Ronnie and Heather Skene are based in Figeac in France. They run a small, growing church that has been supported by a number of Christ Church members for a number years. There are not many evangelical churches in their region - some of their congregation drive for an hour and a half to get there. That would be like driving from Bedford to Kenilworth and back each Sunday for church!

Hilary and Marc Deneufchâtel have begun a new life working in Benin, West Africa. They have two small children, Simon and Benjamin. Their ministry is currently language learning among the Monkole people of Benin in order to serve them through bible translation and church development. Hilary's main role in Benin is to work in a team translating the Bible into the local language. Marc is hoping to be involved in youthwork.

Rob and Ruth working in the Middle East.  They are currently doing further language study at Nottingham with a view to returning to the Middle East in due course.

Impact is the working title of the Bedford Area Schools Christian Support Trust (BASCST). It is a Christian organisation, working in association with Scripture Union. The aim of the Trust is the advancement of the Christian faith among young people in the Bedford Area, particularly in schools.  BASCT has three schools workers taking the gospel to local schools.  They are involved in assemblies, supporting Christian Unions and participating in RE or PHCSE classes

Caroline Burns works with Food for the Hungry in Bolivia, South America.  The purpose of her ministry is to walk with families, leaders and churches to discover and develop their God given potential and abilities in order to equip them to satisfy their own spiritual, material and emotional needs, and therefore break the poverty cycle in one generation.  They have a development and learning programme for 100 children to assist their full development and release their potential to equip them to provide for themselves, and their families, in the future. They also work with their families, the church and community leaders, equipping them to overcome all forms of poverty and resolve the community's problems.  Click here to see a picture of Caroline.
