CHURCH WEEKEND AWAY - 30th APRIL-2nd MAY 2010
At High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesden, Herts. The brochure and application form were released at the beginning of November and are now available in the Parish Room. 12/02/2010 MEN'S FIVE A SIDE FOOTBALL
At Pilgrim Sports Hall, Brickhill Drive. Cost £2. All welcome. See Steve Davies or Adrian Jackson for more info. The dates of the next meetings are 12th February, 12th March and 7th May.
17/02/2010 Lent Course led by Martin Goldsmith - Making a Difference Together
A lent course over a period of 6 weeks on a Wednesday evening on 17th Feb, 24th Feb, 3rd March, 10th March, 17th March and 24th March. Evening starts with a light supper at 7pm, worship at 7:45pm, talk by Martin Goldsmith at 8pm and refreshments at 9:15pm. Using the gospel of Matthew, Martin Goldsmith will teach us to be counter-cultural for the kingdom of God- not just individuals standing alone, but members of God's family wotking together, encouraging and supporting one another. Making practical differences to our homes, workplaces, community and church.

A self help art day. Bring your own painting materials and we will encourage each other to experiment and produce masterpieces. Third Thursday of every month from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Russell Park Baptist Church, Denmark Street. Cost £2 to cover the days refreshments. (coffee at 10:00am and lunch at 12:30pm). Come and give it a try. just drop in and stay as long as you want. You will be very welcome.

Messy Church is an afternoon of creative fun for all the family. There will be a different theme each week based on a story from the bible. This will be developed through many different craft activities, songs and a short talk. The afternoon will conclude with a freshly prepared meal for everyone. Messy church is a fun and different way to engage with God for the whole family, especially the young at art (I mean, at Heart).

On Friday 26th February an event for the brave among you. This year Kings Arms Project are putting on a sponsored Sleepout again. We will sleep in the open air for one night to raise money for the homeless and those who sleep out every night. We will be sleeping in the grounds of Brickhill Lower School so if you fancy a challenge, get sponsored and come and join us. Details can be found at www.kingsarms.org/sleepout2010
27/02/2010 Fair Trade event
A series of cookery demonstrations and food tasting using fair trade ingredients. Pop in and see what's cooking. This will be on Saturday 27th February 2:30pm to 5:00pm.
06/03/2010 Men's breakfast
The next men's breakfast is on Saturday 6th March from 8:30am at a cost of £1. Please let the church office know if you intend to come. A great opportunity to relax and chat and support each other.
15/03/2010 A Passion for Life Bedford (15th - 19th March)
A series of events are planned for the week 15th - 19th March including a sports quiz night on the 15th March, stand up comedy evening on 16th March, question time style evening on the 17th March, live music event for 13 - 18 year olds on the 18th March and chat show style evening on the 19th March. .
